Outlaw Star UK

Well, it seems the day has come, most certainly far sooner than I'd have liked. I discovered Outlaw Star later than most of the members here, or on YouTube; in 2008. Immediately I was immersed in an amazing world of fantasy and science fiction. I had never been this mesmerised by any series or film before. And so came my decision to build Outlaw Star UK, which has existed for a few years but only made its true official debut in December 2010. Through this website and my YouTube channel I have met many wonderful Outlaw Star fans and some good friends.

Our lives are a series of paths and encounters. It's up to us to choose which paths to take and which encounters to make. I think Hilda summed it up better than I could: "No one's going to give you a map; you've got to walk your own path." I've made some decisions and started building my own map. One thing has never and will never change, and that is my love for this series. Unfortunately, the reality is that sometimes things in your life change.

I have new aspirations in my life. In order to fulfil them and walk my own path, I'm going to need to dedicate a lot of time to my goals. Outlaw Star UK has become something of a pet project of mine. I've greatly enjoyed building the community and everything that has come from it. I often think about it, and the members, who I will greatly miss. I recently ran an experiment to see if the community has a chance to run actively on its own momentum.

Outlaw Star's a niche. A community is a challenge for an old anime like this. I concluded from the experiment that it's going to take a lot of time and some money too to get things off the ground. Activity has decreased lately. Could I live without it being a pretty active community? Yes, but I'd constantly be thinking of ways to improve it. With new challenges that await me in my life, I don't have as much time to dedicate.

The question on your mind is likely: is this the end? It's very probable. It would be possible to continue running Outlaw Star UK with the help of a co-administrator who has the leadership qualities to run a community, the logic to address problems, and the passion for Outlaw Star itself to innovate and improve the site, adding new features and content, even if a little training is needed. Unfortunately, I haven't found one who felt the need to come forwards.

I have decided to keep the forum open in an archive mode so visitors may navigate it. Until further notice, clicking the forum's header image will take you back to this page. Click "Home" to return to the index. If you believe you have the mentioned skills and wish to put in the dedication to keep this community going, get in touch. Or if you know any other fans who might, let them know. Check out Outlaw Star UK on Facebook to catch up with members.

In ancient times, many, many years ago, a wise man invented the sailboat. He set off, traversed the ocean and explored unknown worlds. In this so-called age of discovery, the man had a magnificent dream of exploring the planet’s seven seas. These seas and many mysterious lands became the home of pirates and adventurers. However, these adventures became less and less frequent, and with the end of this era came the end of its brilliant stories.
Centuries later it came to be known as
“TOWARD STARS”
