At least, that's what the Japanese guy selling it called it. I put down a maximum bid of one hundred dollars. I couldn't afford any more than that, but I really, really wanted it. It pains me to think that most of these auctions are won by "collectors" who don't really care about Outlaw Star and just want more rare items to add to their 10-tonne collection.
Anyway, I'm going to quote the listing since it will get removed eventually.
I actually placed a new bid of one hundred and thirty dollars (on impulse, pretty foolish of me, but I didn't want to see it gone) and unfortunately my new bid didn't apply for some reason. Pirate voice: "Damn you, eBay." I probably almost said "Bastard!" after the auction ended as much as Gene did in the whole series.
I did however manage to get something from the seller, although I was planning to get the material art book, the three novels (yes, I know I own them already, but I was planning to debind my original three), and aforementioned extra item which would have meant combined shipping. Unfortunately I lost the novel/art book auctions, thus I'm paying full whack postage for this:

What you see is a postcard. This is the second postcard I'll never use for its intended purpose. (I also own a quite rare Final Fantasy VII postcard which I got in 1997.) Actually, I'm planning to eventually get this postcard signed by somebody from Outlaw Star's production team. (I guess a US voice actor/actress would be my best bet.) As some of you have guessed, this is a postcard with a picture from one of the Outlaw Star novels.
Anyway, the good news regarding the rare art book is that the seller promised to look for a second one for me, so I'm hoping he'll do just that.
