The main rule is that you post a word beginning with the last two letters of the previous word. On the chance that you're unable, you're blocked (unable to post). If someone gets blocked, they are blocked until someone else is? Hopefully this seems fair.

(For all intents and purposes, this is all my opinion. I mean no offense to any one, law enforcement or otherwise, who read this post or any others that follow. Just covering all my bases )

I honestly have no idea why I've strayed to this, but recently I've been watching a lot of videos regarding how to act in police situations and what to say in case you've been pulled over just out of sheer curiosity and independent learning. That led to me watching various protest videos and news coverage concerning officers doing over-the-top things such as pepper spraying an entire line of protesters simply for expressing their rights, publicly beating civilians on alleged claims of assault and "disturbing the peace", and even more subtle videos of people expressing their rights to candidly videotape police encounters and how the action is legal due to the police being public officers and their having no personal privacy in a public place.

As cynical as it sounds, I've come to the ironic conclusion that United States law enforcement is doing more to separate the country with oppression instead of preserving peace. I realize that the entire police force isn't consisted of power-tripping individuals who lie to people just to pad their track record, but I also know that the whole mission of "preserving the safety of every freeperson" isn't what it's cracked up to be.

What do you all think? Feel free to agree or disagree with anything I've said; I'm open to knowledge.

So I was just curious since most of you do go to comic/anime/sci-fi/etc. conventions that if you have any pictures of you with any famous people and/or other people there who dressed up. Even if you don't have any pictures or don't want to share, who have you met while there? I figured I would start it out with a few of mine:
This was my last trip to C2E2:

This is a question I tend to ask people a lot (don't hit me I'm immature!).

If you had somehow acquired the ability to travel backwards through time to any given date/period, with the allowance to take ONE piece of equipment from the modern day (not too large - has to be small enough to fit in your living space), where/when would you go to and what would you take?

Remember - this is a one-way trip! No coming back to restock on things!

My personal choice would be England circa 1800. The object I would take back with me would be a large container of general vaccination solution. Why? I could quite simply corner the medical market by ridding the population of commonplace illnesses and take the humanitarian position whilst doing so. Fame, fortune and respect would come my way!

Hey guys so one thing I've never mentioned before on this site was that I'm actually pretty big into comics (I love manga too don't worry)
But I was wondering if a few people would be interested in me putting together a digital pack of comics I enjoy, I've a few in mind that are easy to get into and most of you likely be able to just jump on and read because ill have it either as a point one issue (point ones are basically a new story arc beginning comic) and series that have started started recently with characters people will know.

I could put it in a drop box or something and give the password, I trust the members of this site enough that I doubt anyone'll be "that guy" who changes the password!

Now if anyone is against digital ehm "copies" there's not much I can do for you but maybe just tell you what's on the list?

But hey! Let me know and ill put some together for later if there's interest

I wanted to see interesting tales of your 'clan', like my family is from the O'Reilly clan of Ireland (though my surname is spelled differently), so I can tell my children more varieties of stories. You could use google/yahoo to look for the fables and post them here.

I'll start with one of my family stories: A lord offered his daughters hand if one of the suitors touched the wall of his castle, which had a moat (sp?), my ancestor couldn't swim.. so he had this stupidly amazing idea of chopping his hand off and throwing it, full force, at the wall of the castle. He won and got the girl.

My name is Bloom and I'm a 20 year old college student! My major is Vocal Music Education and I am determined to be a fascinating choral director in my later years. I have just started getting into anime and manga myself. Now that I have Netflix, I can explore different elements of anime from PG to M. Ha! So far I've seen: Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon, Card Capture Sakura, Karin, Bleach (Season 1), and Vampire Knight.

I always love to get recommendations to put in my beginning list. So if you have any animes that you'd think I'd be interested in, please let me know!

I hope to meet many of you soon!
